Six Shooter Junction trails under construction in Texas

VORBA volunteers are adding to the Harlingen Arroyo trail network in south Texas and hope to have the new Six Shooter Junction trails open for riding this summer.

New connector trail funded in Telluride

The Telluride Mountain Club successfully raised funds for a new 2-mile trail connecting Eider and Mill Creek. The route has been flagged and work will take place in June and July.

Work continues on 370km trail linking Sicamous, BC and Brewster, Washington

A project is under way to connect 100 different trails and paths into a continuous route linking Sicamous, BC and Brewster, Washington. You can read more about the progress here.

MTB trails coming to Sauk River Park

Rock Solid is building about two miles of MTB trails along with a skills area at Sauk River Park in Minnesota. The trails are slated to open sometime this summer.

Clear Creek / Indian Hills / Jacks Valley trails under construction in Nevada

Carson Valley Trails says, “Our amazing volunteers are making quick work of the new Jacks Valley Loop trail. This will be an easy trail with gorgeous views into the valley.” Volunteers can sign upregister online to help.

8km trail set to open in The Cariboo this summer

The Cariboo Mountain Bike Consortium completed a new trail in the Marble Range, BC last year and it’s set to officially open to bike and foot traffic this year. A grand opening celebration is tentatively scheduled for August, though it sounds like the trail should be open to riding before then.

Fundraising for bike park in New Zealand

The Kaipara Cycling group is working to secure funding to build the Kauri Coast Mountain Bike Park near Dargaville, New Zealand. The group hopes to raise $100,000 to get started, and estimate the project will ultimately cost about $680,000.

Parking passes required for Hood River trails starting this month

The Hood River Area Trail Stewards (HRATS) is reminding riders that permits are now required for trailhead parking at popular areas like Post Canyon. Funds will go toward trail maintenance and are priced at $5 per day or $30 for the year.

Construction of massive trail network in Nullica State Forest, NSW set to begin

Trail builders from Contour Works are scheduled to begin phase 1 construction of a new trail network in Nullica State Forest near Eden, New South Wales in Australia. Plans call for up to 56km of trails eventually to draw tourists to the southernmost city in the territory.
