I'm not sure if these are the trails based on the Alabama trail map location but the trails I'm reviewing are actually the gravel roads on the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge on the north and south banks of the Tennessee River. These roads are great for easy rides by any skill level and provide plenty of scenery and wildlife viewing. There is some vehicle traffic on the weekends. Not sure of exact mileage but probably 12-15 mile total on north side of river and 20 mile on south side. North side roads can be ridden as loops but south side is out and back from multiple places east of Decatur. Huntsville is close by with several great bike shops.
