What a great trail. Lots of fun, just don't be in a hurry. Lots of elevated obstacles to play on and challenge yourself with.
If you really don't like man made features try another trail.

Not a technical trail, this is just a means to gain (or lose) altitude.
It is well signed and in good condition.

A well signed and well used trail.
There are plenty of roots but few rocks on this trail, with a couple of short wooden bridges.

The trail seems to flow better and be a little more manageable than many other local black trails. This made it more fun, for me.

A Jekyll and Hyde trail, which includes everything from flat and smooth double-track to steep and rocky technical descents and ascents.

Plenty of elevation gain to be had, all along the way. Talk about sweating...

There are occasional views over the Whistler valley and Alta lake which offer some relief.

Disappointingly, there was no signage off the Flank trail for Cheap Thrills or Industrial Disease. There are many trails dropping in to the valley, and it would be nice to know which is which.

Unfortunately there is no signpost on the Flank trail to mark the start of this trail. I eventually found the trail by comparing my Strava breadcrumbs against the valley trail map. Not as easy as I had expected.

This trail is about big slab rock faces, roots, steep descents, and sharp ascents.
It does not seem to be highly used, and hence can be a little difficult to follow at times. There is also no signage at junctions, so I missed the join with d'animal that I was looking for.

There is a beautiful river about half way through. It is almost impossible not to stop and soak in the beauty for a while,

This trail seems to be at the tougher end of local black trails. The trail was definitely tougher than I was - I hike-a-biked way too many obstacles to say that I had a great time.

Beautiful forest, with moderate to challenging single track. Worth an explore, especially if you link with A River runs through it.

Pushed the limits of my wanna-be Advanced abilities.
Some of the bridges, min particular, I found mentally challenging.

Having said that, I took all easy options, and there were a couple of double-black alternate paths I don't even want to think about!

A good day out, in the dry weather.
