Camrock 3

Camrock is one of the best trails in Wisconsin. There are a variety of trails ranging from beginner to expert. The trails are always well trimmed and always developing. There is so much to explore here ! The mayors playground has either a flow trail or a DH jump line. Rip n Ride is fun , fast with berms, rollers , drops and pure fast fun.. there is also a couple technical climbs and Rattlesnake rock garden trail.. They will be adding more features by fall 2019 , which will make this park even better. I can easily rack up 10 - 20 miles here riding for an afternoon ????

Rode here recently on the way home and my wife and I really enjoyed them. We didn't get to hit it all but we had a good time with what we rode especially the downhill area (forget the name).

i would prefer to give the trail system a 3.5 but that wasn't an option. I do think these trails may be alittle over hyped, especially mayors playground, which i did not find to be exciting. but with all the features and a trail like beer run, camrock doesn't have some fun technical riding.

I had heard of Cam-Rock for some time and finally this year my son and i rode there. We had a really great time! Have been back and plan to again as it is close (1Hr) to home.

It was ok, had some fresh snow which added some welcomed difficulty to it. Would ride it again if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of the way. Looks like they are adding in a small jump line which could be fun.

Rode trail( been riding since 1998) with my girlfriend ( pretty new to the sport) on a very dry day in September. Mostly beg/int level trail with a few optional black mostly wood bridge sections to mix it up. Trail probably takes a while to dry after serious rain. Wouldn't go far out of my way to ride again. She rode most of the trail, short cutting back to parking starting with turn it up. Highlight for me was area 51, rattlesnake and trail leading to it. Decent trail, not epic for me, but worked for both of us.

Camrock is getting better and better, year after year. Novices and riders who do not mountain bike much find some of the sections too rough to enjoy the trail as a whole, but for riders with moderate and above skills this place offers a ton of flowy twisty tutti rooty stoney fun that only increases with repeated visits. And as a bonus, the segments meandering through the meadows are visually gorgeous.

What a bundle of joy! Looks small on the map, but the layout is genius design of flow, technicals and connectors, where you feel like you're on a much bigger system. For an intermediate rider, it'll take close to an hour to ride the full experience. That's with a couple rest/hydrate breaks at connector points. If you're new to the game, some of the sections can get hairy, fast. Ride pacing fluctuates beautifully between pay-attention-now to flow and rip it, with gentle meadow rides between sections to even the keel. If at any point you want to bail, drop down to the bike path that connects Cambridge and Rockdale and find the sledding hill that points up to the CamRock 3 parking lot. Ride the hill up -- or walk your rig and chill at the shelter. But resist the urge to cut the ride short. At all connectors just keep riding and you'll eventually end up where you started. Afterwards, the picnic area is great place to hangout. There's restrooms, though the water source seemed sketchy. Bring your own. If you want to entice some non-riders, the walking trail along the river is super nice. Bridges. Birds. Lots of critters. Roll into either town afterwards for beers and grub.

Awesome trail system! Trails can be for riders of all skills. When I went early on a Sunday the trail parking lot was already crowded but I only seemed to pass one person on the track the whole day while riding. The advanced trails can be challenging, it took me a try or two to get on the platform of the "Man Down" trail but loved it and I had a blast doing the "Area 51" loop a few times! Most of the challenging tech sections seemed to be more wood focused but there were a few sweet rock gardens. I came from MKE and it was definitely worth the drive.

I raced this trail last week. The trail system is great. Flowy, technical, easy, hard, you name it. If you're feeling frisky, Area 51 will give you a run for your money. These trails are well maintained and will please anyone who rides them. I would recommend a stop if you are anywhere near Milwaukee or Madison.

Trail had just unopened after a week of light rain. A few low spots had some mud, but otherwise, a nice ride.

Not very many miles, but this is a great system if you live in or near Madison. A lot of work has gone into maintaining these trails and making them fun. The man made features definitely add some much needed technicality to the loop

The connectors are confusing the first time you ride here so ride with someone who has been here before. There are some fun man made obstacles on the side of some of the trails with optional ride arounds. The log rides are my favorite. Don't be surprised by the jump on the long descent, its a doozy.

Very fun trails with a lot of singletrack consisting of fun obstacles. Also, a lot of varying singletrack with different skill levels, allowing you to choose relevant to your ability level. Very well marked, making it very hard to get lost.

A gem of trails in a pretty urban setting. There are 11 miles of trails in a 300 acre park so you can imagine that many of them twist upon themselves constantly. Not my favorite style of riding but when space is limited you take what you can get.
The greens and blues are pretty true to their designations. The blacks are mostly man-made obstacles except for Cliff Side and Beer Run which are short steep natural drops.
Stop in to CamRock Cafe and Sport (the bike shop/ cafe) at the north trailhead in Cambridge for craft beers, food, and a cozy place to rest your legs.

Amazing

Fun roller coaster of a trail. A bit of something for all talent levels. Difficulty levels clearly marked on trails although we did see one mismarked by the river. Map is easier to figure out after you have ridden this trail, however we never felt like we were "lost". This trail had some really neat features that made this a unique trail and well worth doing!

A really nice trail system. Super smooth, super fast. But lots of variety. From old-school technical sections, to fast and flowy, you will find a little bit of everything here. Don't miss the new trails along the creek from Cambridge to the Veritas area. Fast and fun and beautiful ride along the creek.

I live in Cambridge, and fortunately Camrock is a 1 minute ride to get to the trail. Great trails that are being worked on all the time to maintain and improve.

Trail is great, provides lots of variety, well defined path, many banked turns, couple wooden features, so great technical declines.
