Mountain Biking Diamond Hill State Park

*****   Add a review
#1 of 18 mountain bike trails in Rhode Island
#181 in the world

NEMBA holds race at this location. Hilly as its name would imply. Mostly rocky fire roads and patches of singletrack. Moderately technical, some decent climbs that will leave even good climbers puffing. Not my favorite place but it's good for a change.

This place is no joke. If you want to race, this is the place to train. Intense, steep, rocky climb up and a choice of three different double black diamonds down, or the flowly singletrack down. AmaZing trail features and rock faces

Such a fun ride! Trails had great flow and a mix of very technical with simple ride arounds. Did about 7.5 miles and was very happy when I left!

Mountain biking Diamond Hill is a 'must do' if you are near RI. Diamond hill is a pretty small spot, but once you get to know it you can definitely have some fun. Park across from the ice cream shop, then head across the street, down a paved driveway, and into the woods! The ride starts with a climb to the top of the hill, but once you make it to the top you can blast down some awesome DH trails with awesome chunk, drops, jumps all over the place. There is also an XC trail from the top that shoots out and back 3-4 miles. The trials are a little rusty, so be cautious on your first runs!

Best MTB trails in Rhode Island. So much fun enduro stuff here. I'm not the best biker out there but it's not too hard. Just go out and shred.

Copy and paste the link below for an awesome highlight video from Diamond hill trails. Diamond hill is a pretty small spot, but once you get to know it you can definitely have some fun. It is a bit hard to find your way in, and once you do there is a good climb to the top of the hill, but once you make it you can blast down some sick DH trails with awesome drops and jumps all over the place. There is also an xc trail from the top that shoots out and back 3-4 miles. I post new videos from different spots around New England every Monday, so be sure to subscribe for more!

Could be greatly improved with some signage. Fist time there even needed help finding the trail head. Heard great things about it. However because it's a bit of a maze kinda a let down. Worth further exploring.

Really awesome downhill with some nice drops and doubles. Yes there are some XC loops but they were really overgrown when I was there. The trails aren't marked very well though, and in the end the trailforks app got me through the ride.

There are a lot of places that people say "has a little bit of everything", but this place truly fits that bill. Overall it leans toward XC, but there is plenty there to keep the DH guys entertained! Lots of jumps, drops, burms, kickers, rollers, and big stinky rock wall to help keep things interesting! To be perfectly clear though, you earn every inch of descent there is to have in this place. There is about 150ft of climbing per mile, but the descents are totally worth it! The parking lot is right across the road from The Ice Cream Machine and to get to the trails you have to cross the road and head down what kind of looks like a driveway on the west side of 114 just south of the ice cream place. There's also a pump track on the east side of the road behind the parking lot..... see? This place really does have everything!

The best and only downhill free ride place to ride second only to lift accessible dh... I appreciate the jumps, carefully crafted berms, and big drops. Thrilling ride... this place serves very well to those who live highland mountain in nh.

Haven't tried the 8 mile loop yet but that's a bonus. Also there is a small pump track on the parking lot side.

Bring your big boy bikes.....single speed 29er hardtails need not apply at least as of 2012 April. This place is a blast with some great features big drops and some nice hits! Only bad part us pushing your bike up some of this stuff. There are plans for a nice pump track too as well as approval from the state for future development. Keep your eyes on this one because with time it could become a DH destination spot!
