Mountain Biking The Trails at St. Crispin's

*****   Add a review
#4 of 64 mountain bike trails in Oklahoma
#858 in the world

The Trails at St. Crispin's have a little bit of the best of everything that the State of Oklahoma has to offer in mountain biking. There is everything from flowing singletrack sections, technical climbs, brutalizing leg climbs, to rocks and berms. With plenty of rough terrain and climbs for the technical junky to fast and flat for the speedsters, there is something for everyone. Please check our Trails at St. Crispin's Facebook page or call us to make sure that we are open. We do not close often, but it is still best to check. https://www.facebook.com/TrailsAtStCrispins/

Wow...what a rush! I don't get to ride too many trails with these types of technical climbs but it sure was worth it. The trail has a FB page that they respond to very quickly. I asked while taking a necessary break which trails were easiest. Of course I didn't pick one of those to start. Their reply was that the yellow trail is a "punch in the mouth" at the beginning. Not a question there. I highly recommend this trail. Green and Purple are easier. Amazing scenery if you aren't too tired to look:)

For sure one of my favorites in Oklahoma. Lots of hard uphill sections. Some unrealistic. But rewarding down hill sections for sure that I really enjoyed. Also trail is for sure not intermediate. Advanced to expert for sure

The trails are very well marked and the trail is at a nice camp site. The trail is considered an intermediate trail, but it is more like an advanced trail. There are tons of technical rock gardens, extremely hard climes, and tight rocky switchbacks. Although the trail was pretty diffulcult, it was pretty fun and interesting. In my opinion, the purple loop was the easiest and the hardest was the yellow loop. I would recommend this trail for advanced riders who like technical trails. We rode on October 14, 2017.

Trails are great! Some of my favorite trails to ride. Offers lots of opportunity for cardio endurance training and technical skills. One of the great trails in this area! Must ride if you are in this area. look up a contact number as this park is sometimes closed to the public at random times, such as national holidays.

This is the best trail I have ridden. I have been to Park City and across Texas but have not experienced a better diversity and fun all in one trail. Kudos to St. Crispen's Camp for building it! I wish it was closer to where I live in San Antonio. I would make the trip regularly to ride it.

Some fantastic rocky climbs which is rewarded by fast flowing down hill finish. Would ride this trail every day if I could.

Tough climbs, switch backs, and technical rocky descents. The trail is a workout and is very challenging on the rocky climbs where picking the right lines is means less wasted energy. Trail was well maintained and had round colored markers to designate which track your riding. Simply sign in at the wooden outdoor kiosk (make sure you sign a waiver), donate money (these guys do a great job at maintaining the trail), and then head north towards a sign that says "Yellow" which is the start. The sign that says yellow will be towards the direction of the tall wooden challenge course aka ropes course.

Well done trail fairies! Nothing easy about any of the colored trails. Some are easier than others, but intermediate or better skills required. All sections are an absolute blast! Thanks for making this place happen!

This is a wonderful trail with both fast and flowy sections for the beginner and challenging rock sections for both intermediates and experts. Very well groomed. Drains well/quickly after rains.

Rode this trail for the first time on OCTOBER 12, 2015. WOW WOW WOW! I felt like I was in the mid-west riding on all the technical terrain. Could not believe we were in Oklahoma! The staff at the center were very helpful. We signed our waiver, signed the book and hit the trail. This trail isn't easy (it punches you in the face within .5 mile) with some awesome technical rock sections! In some parts (especially the RED trail) I had to dismount. My buddy, who rides in Bend, OR all the time was somehow able to clean nearly all the RED trail...blew my mind because it gets narrow and SUPER steep! Loved the challenge. We rode it twice and I was worn out. We will be back. Best trail in Oklahoma so far! If you consider yourself a legit MTB'r you have to experience this trail! I would call this an advanced trail and wouldn't even think about bringing my family out on it.

The trail is in great shape and very challenging. Definitely not for the beginner. Lots of off-camber drops into rock beds, or through creeks with wet rocks.

It's fun and challenging for sure. It even has a couple spots you take it off of some pretty sweet jumps.

It's going to be tough 8 miles in the woods so prepare accordingly. Have fun and be safe!

Oh, also be respectful. This place doesn't have to be open to the public. Don't trash it and sign in at the map box.

i will warn others, the Red trail is no joke. hats off to those who can actually ride it, and not walk!
other than Red, i had very little issues and i ride an AM HT. i'm also a big boy (240lbs) so if i can get up the hills, so can you! lol!

Great flowy lines, lots of climbing and rewarding fast sections. The gravel surface of the trail allows for quick drying and very rideable after any rain storm. The trails loop around two distinctive lakes and offer high ridge views of those lakes, that you must stop and take in. Plus there's all kinds of cliffs that's worth stopping and admiring too. For this area of Oklahoma it's not like any where else, a true gem in this red dirt state

Definitely the most fun single track I have ridden in Oklahoma. I prefer it over the xc trails at Turkey mountain, but it doesn't have the variety of trails Turkey includes. Perfect dirt or slightly loose pebbles. No sand!

Today was our first time to ride here and it was Sunday so there was nobody in the office for info. The trail head looks easy to find on the maps that are online but actually finding it was a bit of a challenge. We did find it and set off on the yellow trail. It's awesome!! Lack of ability had me carrying my bike through a couple of spots near the start but after that, it was very rideable for someone at any level. We bailed out about half way through the green trail and easily found our way back to the office using the fire road. I'm ready for a return trip and to finish the course!!
