Rider questions

Q: You'd survive but it's a lot more fun on a good full squish

Q: Would I be able to survive on a hard tail 29er? Or would I need full suspension

Really fun bike park. Make sure you go after it rains or else you're in for a dust bowl. Bring goggles and pads as the rock solid trails will leave scars for life.

Great and amazing time I have every time I visited here. It must go if you're thinking about coming here or wanting to try out downhill experience for the first time.

I would like to give it 5 stars but what's stopping is, Last time i visited the rental bike I was using at the end of the day lost pressure in the rear brake.

Great park, I rode here on opening day this season and it's was pouring rain, will want to go back on a nicer day. Not incredibly steep but very technical with lots of wooden features. Will note that the lift is incredibly fast and you can get lots of runs n during a day. Parking is across the street from the lodge with a walk way to the lodge. Lockers available ($10). Full day lift is about $43. They didn't have any trail maps when I was there, best to copy an image from their website.

My first time doing Down hill on the intermediate trails, it was pricey to rent but super convenient, great bike. it was an awesome time! so much fun! as someone who doesnt go as much I still have so much to learn. I do trail riding on motorbikes so its obv a little different but it has the same type feel in some aspects. Such an drenaline rush!! Will def be going back for more.

Mountain Creek has some of the best, well maintained trails in New Jersey. The fact that Mountain Creek has lift access to the top and a beer garden at the bottom make this my favorite place to ride. Great trail variety means lots of fun to be had for all levels.

As a first time downhill rider I found the green and blue trails manageable, but I tend to like more gnarly trails. One or two spots I walked the first time around but then rode subsequently. Trails are challenging yet rideable at a slower pace if you aren't suited and riding a DH beast.
There are tons of trails (10 miles) with peaceful lakes at the top that are not to be missed. Good place to sit and digest after lunch outside at the lodge.

Great downhill park with a ton of features and everything from very easy single track to crazy rocky downhill. Also, mountain creek now offers cross country trails. These are very well maintained, and offer about 5-7 miles of cross country singletrack. The trails take you down the opposite side of the mountain, around lakes, and are fun to explore. Check these out when you're here as well!!

This place is amazing. Def one the best places to ride. Trails range from intermediate to expert. Huge drops. Huge jumps. Huge gaps. Having the lift at the bottom is awesome. Just bomb downhill all day.

Mountain Creek continues to grow with now 44 unique segments that can be threaded together for some flow or gnar runs. Everything from green to double diamond runs can be found.
I highly recommend to stay a few days and try all what Mountain Creek has to offer. They have a water park as well and other features. Good for the whole family. I stayed in the Black Creek town homes while I was there. Had an totally awesome time. I mainly rode the diamond / double diamond runs. Good combo is outback to tempest and then stalker and indy.

Great freeride park! When I arrived at Diablo, I asked some people what trails I should ride. Everyone told me to definetly start out with the easiest one (Greenhorn). I took their advice and found Greenhorn to be a lot of fun and a great starting point for my day. I rode for about 5-6 hours and had an awesome time. Good jumps and drops, twisty with some trees jumping out in front of you. Very (almost too) rocky at some spots but an excellent time. Was on vacation so rented their bike and gear (helpful staff). I will go back asap.
