Mountain Biking The Ridgeland Trails

*****   Add a review
#2 of 36 mountain bike trails in Mississippi
#359 in the world

This trail system is a work in progress by the Tri-County Mountain Bike Association. It is for members only; however 2 day memberships are available at the kiosk. There is 6.2 miles of singletrack thus far and has separate beginner, advanced and expert sections making it fun for any skill level. There is an awesome tree bridge for the more advance riders. The scenery is beautiful with plenty of large rock formations.

Severe recent rains with some sections of the trails acting like water channels
Easier loops more wet than hillside trails

One of the greatest trails of the few in MS. Great mix of up hill and flowy downhill. Not so much technical, but still fun.

Fun set of trails. I rode it 6/7/18 and had a good time. Small amount of climbing and some fun fast areas. It gives you a good workout and works on your turning at speed.

This place is what made me fall in love with mountain biking 20 years ago! Fun fun fun! These people take great care of these trails and you can tell they are taking care of by people who love to ride! Best trails I have written in a long time. It was worth the 6 Hour drive.

Coming from North Georgia and finding this trail was perfect. Great for maintaining my condition while here. Hats off to those who maintain the trails.

I love the trail system and ride on the weekends and it's got a good mix of grades. The Facebook page for the Tri-County Mountain Bike Association is where I go to check the trail conditions.

These trails are great! I *think* it's up to 10 miles total now. I just started riding this year and have only ridden here about 3 times so far. Does anyone know the best way to get up-to-date info on trail conditions?

I raced out here yesterday and it was my first time riding the trail. We did not ride the complete trail but the 5.5 mi section covered was great. Had some short, challenging climbs but nothing too hard (the biggest climb was not part of race course). The flow of the track was the best I've ridden in Mississippi by far. Also, the trail was maintained very well, with a few pads in slippery spots and some fun "obstacles" on the trail including a wooden banked turn. This isn't a huge system, but they did a great job with the land they have. Worth the ride fore sure.

I am not sure what the rules are for a regular day here, since I was there on a race day, but a membership (they have a 2 day option I believe) is required unless I'm wrong. But once you see the work that has been put into keeping the trails up it is worth every penny.

Excellent trail system, one of the compromises in building a lot of trail in a small area is usually flow. NO Compromise here, ridden at a moderate pace you will almost never touch the brakes. Trail is quite smooth, with lots of short climbs and descents, plus a few longer ones. Area appears to have once been ravaged by bulldozers, and erosion providing interesting features for bikes. There is a bike wash at the TH and signage on the roads leading in. Put in a skills park/ jump line at the TH and would rate it a 5

I got to ride today, and they have a well kept system. The vast majority is nice smooth stuff with a lot of climb/descent. A real physical challenge for this old man. There were also some tech features, rock gardens, climb switch back with a rock step at the top, bridges, and wooden and dirt berms. $3 for none members. Well worth it.

Very much appreciate all the work that has gone into developing and maintaining these trails. Beautiful and fun place to ride. Spent much of my life in Mississippi woods and this is one of the prettiest blocks of timber I have seen in Ms. As far as the ride goes - as challenging as you want to make it. Sent in my registration and look forward to riding often.

First, A big thanks to the TCMBA and Landowners for the maintenance and upkeep to the trail system. Today was my first ride on these trails, very flowy fast trail system. There are trails marked for all levels of riding, yellow arrows for beginners, white arrows for intermediate, and red for advanced. Awesome for a good workout and just being able to enjoy the nature and beauty of the trails. I will definitely become a member in the near future and start riding these trails many many more times!

I have been on this trail twice and I already love it!! Fun and challenging for all levels! Great layout and beautiful area. The only reason I leave is because the sun is going down!

Both moderate and advanced trails offered to challenge most skill levels. Difficult to find. Google directions before driving. Last turn onto gravel road unmarked.

First time here and we certainly enjoyed ourselves. Good variety, somewhat challenging but definitely something for everyone. $3 for a two-day pass and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Well maintained, even after recent poor weather. Hats off to the managing club, as we had a memorable afternoon in Ridgeland.

Very smooth flow, nice elevation change for a good workout. Great job by the trail blazers. Not technically challenging except for just a few tree bridges. Its a really strong 3 stars, just needs some more advanced sections and a few more miles. Thanks to TCMBA and the landowners whoever they may be!* Review edited 11/27/2009
