Lincoln Parish Park boasts several miles of well maintained mountain bike trails including a lot of intermediate to advanced level technical trails. The scenery is great too. The park has several pic-nic areas and a small lake with a sandy beach and swimming area. They charge $2 per person to get into the park for the whole day. Winter hours are 9-5 7 days a week. From I20 in Ruston go due North toward Farmerville on Highway 33 for a distance of 6 miles. Turn left (West) at the large sign that says Lincoln Parish Park. Bada Bing, Bada Boom, you're there. If you can get to Ruston, then getting to the park is a breeze... and well worth the trip.

This trail has what I would regard as classic XC mountain biking. Natural feeling trails with roots and rocks, but not such that it makes the trail difficult. There are some sections that were a bit slow and tedious because of all the pine needles, but nothing that detracts from the trail. A recent jump line was constructed which is also a blast. A great place to get some exercise in an otherwise dessert where Mountain biking desert. If you're from Arkansas or Texas or Mississippi, just be glad the trail designers made so much out of so little.

| ThankWell maintained trail and a bargain for $2.00. There were plenty of people of all ages and skills. The trail does have some nice flowing sections with a little speed for fun. There are lots of cutbacks and roots to navigate, state parks frown on cutting almost anything. The trail is to be shared with runners and hikers. It is a beautiful and fun trail....come and enjoy the ride soon.
| ThankWe drove out from Oklahoma to tour the best trails the south has to offer. I will say, Lincoln Parish did not disappoint! Well taken care of trails with endless flow and a sprinkle of man made objects to mix things up. The trails are well taken care of and well marked. The scenery was stellar; pine needles blanket the ground while trails flow in and out of the tree line, zipping around and over creek and water crossings. The trail runs fast and flowy, with a few technical features, but nothing a strong beginner or intermediate couldn't handle. Worth every bit of driving to see this place!
| ThankDefinitely the best trail in Louisiana and a fun ride for any skill level. This trail is rode clockwise, and ends with a big decent. Very flowy with a few good jumps and switchbacks. Suggest taking with as much speed as possible.
| ThankI was in Shreveport for a few days and decided to make the trip to Ruston and try out this trail. It was very flowy. There were some climbs and descents. Overall it was a ton of fun.
| ThankSo... I decided to try this trail for the first time on the hottest day of the year on July 21st. I had a job in the area the next day, so I brought my bike along, and I do not regret that! Honestly, I'm not sure where the trail head starts, but I parked by the lake, and rode up the "Tree Trail" and found the "Creek Crossing," and dove right in. This trail is a challenge, especially if you are used to flow trails. A lot more roots, bumps, and climbing switch backs. But with great punishment, comes great rewards, as in long straight declines, and some fun drop offs. The heat killed me that day, I wasn't ready for 102 degrees and 87% humidity, but I had a blast. Will defiantly go out of my way, and try again. Cost 2$ for park entry, that gives you all day access. A nice touch is a bike wash station by the lake that you can hose off your bike, and muddy legs! | ThankI don't know if it gets much better than this in Louisiana, the trail is fun and beautiful scenery. There is a varying types of terrain with technical, downhills and jumps. Nothing too crazy or advanced, just a good ride. The beginner cuts make it easy to loop around to hit your favorite parts again and again.

| ThankAs stated by others, a great trail that includes a shorter loop for beginners. The full loop includes an abundance of roots, climbs, descents and creek crossings. Maybe the best maintained trail I have ridden. In addition to many directional signs there are caution signs before all salty areas. Ignore them at your own peril. The ride gets progressively tougher featuring some nice descents and climbs, including a stretch with a few switchbacks. Big fun!!!
| ThankVery easy trail. It's not to bad to ride all of if your a beginner and if you are intermediate you will find it mostly easy. Lots of short climbs. Very well maintained. If your advanced it may disappoint you. The park is clean and well kept.

| ThankRode the beginner part of this trail today after being badly disappointed by the trail in Monroe, This is my new favorite trail, The signs along the trail are easy to follow, can't wait to get back out there and check out the advanced portions of the trail.
| ThankRoad this trail today and its my favorite in this area hands down. Has one very nice fast down hill that's nice and smooth for this area. I will be going back ASAP. Only thing I wish it didn't have would be all the roots.
| ThankLike a couple of others have said, it's worth the drive for most, seeing as we don't have a mountainous area down here. Good blend of ups and downs, and some great technical spots. Little creek crossings here and there and some fun little downhills at times. Great for a weekend get a way from the house. Have fun on this trail, because it is fun!

| ThankIve read some of the reviews and i must say, i really didnt know what to expect on this trail. This trail is not for the novice riders (unless you stay on beginner trail). I rode the entire trail on March 31st of 2012, and i will say it is a very tough trail at times! It has some killer climbs! It has some extremely fast downhills too!! All in all i will say this is a GREAT trail! Definitely a must ride! You will get a workout!
| ThankHave completed this trial a little over 5 times now in the past couple months and I must say it's one of my favorite in La. Has its technical and some good jumps laid out. With what looks like a new dirt jump area being installed right now. Trail is marked well with signs, just beware after it's covered in leaves. Can get confusing at some points. Otherwise, great trail and I recommend to anyone!
| ThankWorth the drive from the highway and dealing with road construction! I was told that this is the site for the TX state championships (thought I was in LA???)! Easy flowing singletrack with some moderate climbs, good place to initiate the novice looking to get into singletrack riding.
