Mountain Biking Pine Tree Loop

****   Add a review
#54 of 285 mountain bike trails in Florida
#1,849 in the world

Pine Tree Loop is a nice beginner’s loop that everyone in the family can enjoy. Every now and then there is the occasional root or rock but for the most part this is a flat and easy trail. The loop starts and ends at the Santos trailhead.

Getting there
From I-75 exit on Hwy. 484 (Belleview exit) and head about 2 miles west to Hwy. 475. Head north (left) on Hwy 475 about 4 to 5 miles to S.E. 80th Street. Head east (right) on S.E. 80th to just before it crosses SR 441. The entrance will be on your right about half a block from SR 441. It's marked with a sign that reads 'Santos Trailhead.'

Just what you expact for a 'green' trail. Just easy and fun, can be fast if you want it to. Great for beginners.

Great novice trail that runs around the Santos Trailhead. A few roots and turns to keep it fun for new riders.

This is wonderful if you were just starting out it is not too challenging woodlot about pills that make you want to just quit it has enough stuff to show you what the potential is about mountain biking if you're never going to get more than a Hardtail maybe with front suspension that would be perfect for these trails

No tech, but definitely worth the ride thru even just for the scenery. Nice ride for the kiddos

Easy trail with two way traffic. This trail feeds many of the others. It also boarders the trail where Santos is bisected by Highway 25. If you hit Pine Tree and want to get out of the part, then this is pretty much your exit trail. If you are trying to get to Vortex from the main trailhead, then you take this trail left and eventually you will see the parking area for Vortex section across Highway 25.

A good starting trail for every beginner. Intro to Mountain Biking 101. A new wooden roller has been added just south of the intersection with the Shorty trail. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face!!

Little elevation changes, not technical at all. Not too much fun, but a quick and easy way to get from the Santos trailhead to the Vortex section. If you have the time, use the other trails to get in and out of Santos, but if you pressed for time to get back to the trailhead, use Pine Tree.

A nice loop that is suitable for beginners trying to get into MTB or just for anyone who wants to enjoy Santos. The trail winds thru some nice scenery and will take you to most trails throughout Santos.
