Mountain Biking Imba Red

*****   Add a review
#30 of 285 mountain bike trails in Florida
#1,116 in the world

I believe this is the longest red out at Santos. It surrounds the
Freeride/Dirt Jump section and is loaded with action. It has several great
technical rock gardens, a few ladder ramps dumping you onto some gnarly
boulders, a few wood skinnies, etc. It's about 2 miles total but the trail
dumps you out onto the freeride area now and then and you'll re-enter to
continue. It's not hard to find you way in and out. The trail also has
several look outs where all the massive drops are.

There's no need to review a separate trail of the entire Santos system. Great singletrack as for seamingly flat Florida

Very challenging. The trail will take you to the top of the large jumps at the Vortex. A great look out point and somewhere to take a break. Careful walking around, poison ivy is everywhere.

The longestof the Red trails in the entire Santos system. Like all the rest there are plenty of short, stout, rocky climbs and descents. Additionally, there are a few sections of ridgeline riding and many wooden ramps of various sizes. Plenty to challenge the expert riders.

The Red Trail is Part of Vortex. The left side. The Rollercoaster section completes the Vortex. Several short steep ups, that are a little rooty, some big rocks. A couple bridges, up and down, as well as stunts along the way. Some exposure, with an overhead rock, coming right off a drop into a natural berm, an awesome change up. You need to commit for sure.

This trail is actually named 'The Vortex Loop'. The addition of wood features (wood berms, wall rides, etc.) is set to make this trail monumental!

Rode this trail on my third day straight riding Santos and had already riden several miles before this one. Not sure if I was just tired but this trail almost made me throw up I was so tired from the steep but short climbs on this trail. Very fun trail.* Review edited 4/26/2012

The length and variety make this the best red at Santos. I think there is something here to challenge all riders. you wont be bored.

Wow, this is my favorite red trail at Santos. Lots of up and down hills with lots of rocks too--very surprising for Florida. Has some pretty steep parts and is pretty darn technical--yet not too technical. To me, this is the most flowy red, peppered with skinnies, dropbridges, rockhops. I'm not that great at that kind of stuff yet, but most of those things have ways around them. Its also the longest red by far. John Brown is about the same level. If you want crazy technical, ride Ant Hill. It was too much for me, haha.* Review edited 11/22/2011

This trail is a blast. One of the best thing about this red is it's length. It's, by Santos standards, a long red, so you get to enjoy the good stuff for quite some time. Love the rock gardens!
