Mountain Biking Christmas Section

****   Add a review
#100 of 285 mountain bike trails in Florida
#3,350 in the world

The trail here is nice XC riding. Not a lot of obstacles or anything technical. Riders of all levels can enjoy the Christmas section. The trail passes thru pine and oak forests and a barren field that was logged. At the end of the trail you can take a few minutes to relax at the land bridge and turn around or continue on the more than 50 miles of trail at Santos.

A good ride connecting the Landbridge Trailhead to the 49th Avenue TH. Unique feature is a mile or so of uncovered trail through a Florida Shrub Jay habitat project. This project continues and the heavy equipment has crossed the bike trail a few times but nothing drastic. A break from oak/pine forest that bookend this trail. A few mounds to climb near the west end that could catch you off guard, forcing you to walk up your first trip! Portable bathroom at 49th Avenue but no drinking water. Connects to Nayl's trail for continued western adventure.
2015 Edit: Slight trail reroute on the western edge to avoid highly eroded areas. Trail is a bit slower now but should improve with riding.

We enjoyed this trail. Goes in and out of pines and opens up into what looks like an old quarry that allows you to hey some speed riding on limestone. Nice, easy trail to get some extra miles in.

I had some fun on this trail. Just nice XC riding here, nothing to get too excited about. In the middle of the trail there is an area that was logged so it looks like a wasteland. The trail there was packed with lime rock so you can really blaze thru it.
