Mountain Biking Hickory Mountain Loop

*****   Add a review
#92 of 538 mountain bike trails in North Carolina

Great addition to ride before the Ridgeline DH. This loop is a solid, steady climb followed by a fun downhill. A little variety from Ridgeline which adds more fun on top of what's already awesome in that corner of DuPont State Forest.

Fun trail. I would suggest only doing it counter clockwise, which would be a right turn at the trailhead. the trail ends with an awesome, super fast decent, and then connects to ridgeline trail. makes for a fun couple miles.

Great singletrack loop that provides some bonus elevation for the Ridgeline descent.

Beautiful loop. You can do it each direction and have fun. If you want a longer descent but more leveled, do it clockwise. If you want a short, steep, and fast descend, do it counter-clockwise. This is the very top of the mountain. Some nice views but most are blocked by trees. You gotta add this to your ridgeline loop.

Very Fun in both directions, but particularly clockwise as the penultimate loop of any ride feeding into Ridge Line

Great trail with nice flow . There is one off camber rock that might pose some issues if you ride the trail counter-clockwise.
