    Oh my. This could an epic again but boy does it need work. Rode the eastern section between Shoepac Lake and Clear Lake. 4 hours, 12 miles. Knee high sweetfern, thigh high blueberries, chest high bracken, so many deadfalls I lost count (one patch was just a tangle of blowdowns you couldn't even walk around. The trail surface is very friable, some places were damaged by horse travel. Other sections were on deep sand roads that were miserable to push through.
    I had thought to bikepack it but it moved beyond an adventrue into a trial. It has such potential but it's as much hike-a-bike as it is a bike ride.
